STORAGE CABINETS FOR BUSINESSES, HOSPITALS,
AND INSTITUTIONS
Each area of an office has different storage needs ---
Medical Personnel need storage for small medical devices
and drawers.
General offices need storage for office supplies and
heavy paper products.
Common areas need room for faxes, copy machines,
and mailboxes
Accounting needs storage for boxes of old invoices and
general records.
Unique Cabinetry Inc will help you DESIGN YOUR STORAGE
AREA.
COMMERCIAL STORAGE CABINET CONSTRUCTION is different than
that of residential kitchen cabinets. Shelves in commercial
cabinets should be of thick material (usually 3/4" minimum) to hold
heavy books and boxes of paper without sagging. Door hinges must
be sturdy as people lean on them while accessing lower cabinets.
Widths, depths, and heights are often modified to allow for
storage of certain items in the cabinets and on the counter tops. ADA
guidelines must also be considered to allow proper access.
THE GENERAL LAYOUT IS DIFFERENT TOO - Blind corners
are not used because of the difficult access by employees. Drawers in break areas
are minimized because
they collect plastic forks and packages of mustard. Cabinets are wide, often with full height doors to allow for
easy storage of cases of office supplies. Medical areas have
many small drawers and extra shelves to store small implements, drugs,
and supplies.
